You’ve probably heard about Instagram’s latest new feature announcement – the one that lets us save the posts we find interesting or inspiring in a private album within our Instagram accounts, without the original poster having any idea we’ve done so.

The amazing thing about this new feature on Instagram is the fact that we can now create mini galleries of inspiration for ourselves and our own Instagram posts. The tricky thing for businesses and marketers will be trying to figure out what makes an Instagram post save-worthy in the first place.

For the moment, there aren’t any analytics on saved posts, so we don’t have any idea if any of our posts have been saved or by how many people. We’re sure some figures will become available soon for Business Profiles at the very least… But in the mean time, there’s nothing stopping us from thinking about ways to make our posts as pleasing to our followers as possible. So here are our top 3 ways of making Instagram posts save-worthy!


Your post needs to be good looking. Instagram is and always will be a place for beautiful images, so make sure you’re using the right equipment and technique to get the perfect pictures. If you’re looking for ways of producing engaging content for Instagram, look no further than this blog post.


2. Make it USEFUL

As a business, there must be some kind of information to take from your Instagram posts, even if it’s only in the caption (although it’s aways better if your image and caption are linked in some way). Make your post clever, educational, funny, insightful, but whatever your aim, make it useful! Take this inspirational quote from Foundr for example:

3. Make it HYPE

Finally, your post needs to be the kind of post that others want to replicate, just because it’s so darn great! To make a post “hype” is to make it trendy, relevant and exciting. Here’s your inspo for hype Insta posts:
